Howard County General Hospital Seeks Spiritual Care Volunteers

Columbia, MD – Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking volunteers to help provide multi-denominational spiritual care for patients and their families at the hospital, located at 5755 Cedar Lane in Columbia, Maryland.

Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of two hours a week and attend monthly support and training meetings. The 16-week training program will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning September 15, 2009. The registration deadline is Aug. 17. Following the training, volunteers are expected to provide services for one year. For more information, call Chaplain Jack Dunlavey at 410-740-7898.
