 At Howard County General Hospital, we work hard to fulfill our mission, “To Care, to Heal, to Serve” everyday. You can see it as you walk the halls and talk with fellow co-workers. People really care here and strive to provide the best medical care possible.
I work in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and work with post heart attack patients. It is truly rewarding to see that our work makes a difference in people’s lives. What is even more important is that we are the only facility of our type in Howard County to offer cardiac rehabilitation services, which makes us unique.
I can honestly say that I look forward to coming to work each day. There really is a family atmosphere here. The staff works as a team and is willing to collaborate with other departments. My co-workers are always willing to help and lend a helping hand. I also should mention that the executive team is approachable and friendly and involved with the staff.
There is plenty of opportunity for advancement and continuing your education is stressed. In fact, one of the many generous benefits offered is tuition assistance for college once you have worked here a certain amount of time.
Choosing where to work is a huge decision. I can honestly say that I have never regretted my decision to work at HCGH. |
