The Howard County General Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary is an all-volunteer non-profit organization. It develops and executes fundraising events that will ultimately benefit Hospital programs and services. Its fundraisers include sales of economically priced and unique items such as new books, fine jewelry, designer handbags and hospital uniforms as well as the annual Garden of Lights.
The Volunteer Auxiliary supports good public relations with the community by actively supporting the “Get Active” series which encourages cardiovascular health in Columbia, as well as county-wide.
Established in 1973, it is governed by an elected Board of Directors.
