Dear Friends:
It is with great regret that I announce the closing of Howard County General Hospital’s Rave Reviews Consignment Shop on Friday, May 28, 2010. For the past 16 years, the shop has served well the fashion needs of Howard County, while at the same time supporting the services of Howard County General Hospital. During this time, Rave Reviews has raised funds under the auspices of the Howard Hospital Foundation, with 100 percent of its net profits supporting HCGH services and programs.
Unfortunately, after a thorough review of both the Shop’s and the Hospital’s current economic situations, increasing costs associated with the shop’s operations, and our own financial priorities, we have decided that our resources are best used when they are focused to directly support our core mission of providing the best health care possible to our community.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Christa Pence and the wonderful and loyal staff of volunteers whose hard work, dedication, and true passion for fashion, have supported the shop for many years. We also thank our patrons, customers, contributors and friends for their continuous support. While Rave Reviews may be gone, our commitment to the community remains; that will never change.
